A very interesting article by my bro Rodrique

So, some time ago, as I was sitting in my room, I unexpectedly heard a thought that dropped into my little noggin.

It had to do with "relationships". It had to do with that stage of butterflies in your stomach, and feelings of hearts soaring on eagles wings, walking on air with not a care in the world, nothing else matters. It had to do with the stage of "catching feelings" or finding interest in the opposite sex.

This was the thought.

"The stage of having feelings/or looking to be in a relationship, and also even being in a relationship is like driving a car "
By the way no, this has nothing to do with the "test drive the car, before you buy it" metaphor, not at all lol, not even close.

Finding interest in someone,
desiring a relationship,
being in a relationship.........

They're all like driving a car. When you drive a car, you enter the car, and you pull out of your drive way and then you get onto the road. At that moment in time, when you get onto the road, and as long as you are on the road. You are in danger.

From point A, to point B, you have no clue if you are going to get into an accident or not. Can you guarantee your safety? ....... No you can't.
Your OWN actions behind the wheel can help you increase your safety, OR if you're reckless, you can in fact make sure that you ARE in an accident. However, YOUR actions are not the only determinants. You could be following every law of the road, trying to ensure your safety, and still get into an accident...... because of someone else's actions. When you drive and obey all the rules of the road, can you guarantee that you're safe? ...... No you can't. Someone else's carelessness can still affect you and damage your car.

With the above stated truth, the question is; what does a smart person do to ensure that if something goes wrong, their car is protected?

Think about it?.... They get insurance, they get insurance so that if they end up in an unexpected car crash, they are protected, they are covered!

A quick search defined insurance for me:
A practice by which a company provides a guarantee of compensation for specified loss, damage, illness, or death in return for paymentInsurance requires you to MAKE INVESTMENTS. Concerning cars, this is financial payments, financial investments so that if something goes wrong, YOU ARE COVERED, YOU ARE PROTECTED and you have a GUARANTEED COMPENSATION AWAITING YOU, therefore, you can drive knowing that you are covered if any accident does occur.

That stage of finding interest is like driving a car :)

When you get to that stage, You are actually in danger. Can you guarantee your heart's safety when having feelings for someone you're not in a relationship with? or even if you are in a relationship with them? .... No you can't. Your OWN wise actions can increase your chances of safety, doing what you believe is right and honorable and not self seeking. However, If you do everything right in a relationship, does that guarantee your heart's safety? ..... No it doesn't. The other persons actions, if careless, can still hurt you, there could be a "car crash", a "break of the union".

So what do you do? .. same thing lol, get insurance.

Make investments!

In terms of desiring a relationship, invest your heart in God, not the relationship. People start to fantasise and desire what they see, not knowing if this is what God desires for them or not. While still not having the green light from Him, they believe they see an advance green and they completely invest their heart in something that could be wrong for them and could leave their hearts jeopardised. Until you get the green light, Invest your emotions in God, not in the relationship, invest your time in God, not in the relationship, invest your burning desire in God, not in the relationship. Wait, has he given you the green light? Wait, driving forward at a red light is a recipe for a car crash, WAIT. We try it too often, lets wait for the green light, or even an advance green! Whatever it is, make sure its green, not red, not orange. Wait

Invest your thoughts in Him, be careful, don't dwell on that person all day. Guard your heart (psalms 4:23), in many little practical ways; Do you talk all the time? spend time with eachother all the time? Have intense deep conversations and share intimate portions of your identity with each other? ... If this is all happening, How can your heart not be invested in that thing you call a "friendship". Lets get real, please? If this is happening, you are not insured.

You do this so that if there is a "car crash" your insurance will have covered you, you would be protected. You made investments, your heart was not invested in the relationship, but it was invested in God and his plan, and you waited to see his plan unfold. Maybe this one was not the one, sure, no problem it crashed, but you're still fine, you made investments in your insurance. You know what that means? .. look at the definition of insurance. You are getting a "guaranteed compensation", your heart will not look like a damaged car. The insurance company HAS TO COMPENSATE YOU, YOU ALREADY MADE ALL THE INVESTMENTS, YOU WILL BE FINE. lol
What happens if you don't have insurance? .. YOU MUST PAY OUT OF YOUR OWN POCKET,..it can take time to gather enough money to cover the damage, maybe you wont be able to drive for a while, maybe the other person's car was also very damaged. You're up for paying for all of that out of your own pocket? ......That will hurt.
God is your insurance, invest your heart in Him. He knows your heart's desires, but he needs you to wait for Him to switch the light and turn it green, or perhaps keep it red for a while, or possibly ask you to switch lanes at some point. I don't know? lol... and you don't either. Let Him be your insurance, so that when you do drive, you'll be covered, knowing that if there is a break in the union or things don't go as YOU planned, your blood pumper (heart) is always protected and always safe.
Strange? ... no.
Truthful? yes...
Hard to accept? .....possibly ...It depends on whether you like seeing clearly or not?

What is music to you??

Does it have meaning or is it just a bunch of sounds that go together and makes you want to dance?? Is it real lyrics or just repeating a few lines of a song??

Well to me music is a very powerful tool, its more than just sounds. This is poetry at it's peak accompanied by scintillating sounds that get in you to that moment where you just want to be left a lone to bask in the sounds of a song that automatically channel the way you feel.

But i feel most of it has lost it's touch....
